Fulcrum Institute- this program aims to prepare a group of Educators in Science who will implement and lead research-centered science learning and teaching in their schools and districts. Participants advance their professional knowledge and status through the Institute’s credit-bearing, three-graduate-course sequence which focus on investigations in physical science and the teaching of science in K-8 classrooms.
Gap Junction After School Program - an afterschool program conducted by veterinary students for middle school students in the Grafton/Worcester area.
Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine: Grafton Elementary School Outreach - the goal of this program is to develop a science-based presentation that will be delivered by Tufts TCSVM faculty to the 5th grade classes at Grafton Elementary School.
Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine: Paws for People- a pet visitation program serving facilities including homes for the elderly, detention centers for troubled youth, hospice centers, psychiatric centers, hospitals and libraries.
Work-study: Community Service - to develop off campus community service work study jobs for all work study students (undergrad and graduate) with federal, state or local public or private non-profit agencies that are in the public interest. Students must receive federal work study funds to be eligible.
