Community Music - offers Saturday classes throughout the school year for students ages 3-18 in addition to programs for adults. Community Music offers 4-6 free concerts for children on Saturdays. Tufts music students also serve as mentors for Somerville and Medford public schools.

Environmental Law (UEP/CEE 207) - Students are introduced to environmental law and the regulatory process. A significant portion of the course is a community research project focusing on the Mystic Watershed or another Tufts community concern.

Eliot-Pearson Children's School - this school serves as a model and demonstration facility, providing a training and observation site for new and experienced teachers and a research facility for faculty and supervised students in the Department of Child Development.

Field Projects: Planning and Practice (UEP 255) - Urban and Environmental Policy and Planning (UEP) Graduate students integrate theory and practice by working on real-world challenges in their areas of interest.

Home School Connection Program - This program assesses children and mediates to strengthen communication between elementary teachers and parents.

Institute for Applied Research in Youth Development - a longitudinal study sponsored by the National 4-H Council. Researchers are seeking to learn how positive influences in the lives of youth help protect them from getting involved in problem behaviors, such as substance abuse, unsafe sex, school underachievement and failure and delinquency and violence.

Introduction to Peace and Justice Studies (PJS 1) - Students participate in group projects for 10-12 hours over a two week period at organizations while studying the concepts and theory of social activism in semester-long course.

Masters of Arts in Teaching: Urban Teacher Training Collaborative Internship - Tufts students complete field work requirements for teacher licensure through traditional student teaching or the Urban Teacher Training Collaborative (UTTC) Internship while completing Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) coursework.

Tufts Educational Day Care Center - an innovative year-round, full-day educational preschool and kindergarten program. The Center is a laboratory school staffed by teachers, graduate teaching assistants and undergraduate interns, and serves a range of children in this inclusive setting

Tufts Literacy Corps - places, trains and supervises Tufts students who help children with reading, writing and mathematics through three core tutoring programs and several student-run initiatives.
