Center for STEM Diversity - to help Tufts University diversify the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) fields. We focus on increasing participation of women and students from groups traditionally underrepresented in engineering and science. We also work with students who are the first in their families to attend college, and with students from lower-income backgrounds. We are an inclusive organization, and any student, staff, or faculty who is interested in helping diversify the STEM fields is welcome at the Center for STEM Diversity.

Citizenship and Public Service Scholars Program - a three-year leadership development program that works with a select group of sophomores, juniors and seniors. Scholars work to create positive change, engage University resources and build capacity in Tufts’ partner communities and beyond.

Community Language Bank: Somerville - student-operated service for affordable, reliable translation and interpretation.

Community Music - offers Saturday classes throughout the school year for students ages 3-18 in addition to programs for adults. Community Music offers 4-6 free concerts for children on Saturdays. Tufts music students also serve as mentors for Somerville and Medford public schools.

Jumpstart -Early childhood program pairs college students with preschool children at risk in Head Start and other low-income preschools to help prepare them to succeed when they enter school.

Leonard Carmichael Society - A student-run, umbrella organization with more than twenty sub-groups working in theareas of Hunger and Homelessness, Youth Mentoring, Literacy/Education and Tutoring,
Health Issues, and more!

Tisch Active Citizen Summer Fellows - Tisch ACS provides unique summer internship opportunities for Tufts students. These Tisch Fellows actively partake in building stronger communities and societies. ACS opportunities are available in: Somerville, Boston’s Chinatown, Washington DC, through the U.S. Conference of Mayors, and internationally.
